Description

Offering encouragement to the victim of a nationally-publicized bullying attack

TLS, one page, 6.25 x 9.25, personal letterhead, February 4, 2011. Letter to a young boy in Pennsylvania, in full: “I heard about your story, and want to tell you how impressed I am with your courage. Every person deserves to be treated with respect, and you’ve handled this extremely difficult situation with great strength. By addressing bullying head-on, you’ve set an outstanding example for other young people who are afraid to come forward and ask for help. Hold your head high! You’re a remarkable young man with a bright future ahead of you.” Scattered soiling, not affecting signature or legibility of the letter, otherwise fine condition. The young recipient of this letter was the victim of a vicious attack by a group of seven other kids, which received national attention in 2011 when a cell phone video recording of the incident surfaced, resulting in multiple arrests. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
