TLS, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 7 x 9, Vice President’s Chamber letterhead, December 29, 1921. Letter to Mrs. Amanda McWain. In part: “Ever since returning from Vermont I have been intending to write you a letter, but somehow I have never thought of it when I was in my office. I wanted to thank you for coming over to call on us when we were at Plymouth…I suppose that you are the only one that is left of the generation of my grandfather.” Light soiling, a couple paperclip marks, and a few pencil notations, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, bearing a pre-printed free frank. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
