Early partly-printed DS, signed “M. Van Buren, Atty.,” one page, 7.75 x 4.5, June 11, 1808. Court document authorizing the sheriff of Columbia County, New York, to “take Bishop Wilchy if he shall be found within your Bailiwick and him safely keep, so that you may have his Body before our Judges…to answer until Daniel Ludlow in a plea…on the case to his Damages one hundred dollars.” Also signed on the reverse, “M. Van Buren, Atty.” The official seal is intact. Vertical fold passing through his name on the front side, and scattered toning and soiling, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
