Jacques Thibaud

French violinist (1880–1953) who was part of a trio along with pianist Alfred Cortot and cellist Pablo Casals. ALS in French, one page, 8.5 x 11, August 5, 1911. Untranslated letter to Louis Persinger. In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Thibaud’s hand. Originates from the collection of American violinist and pianist Louis Persinger (1887–1966), who trained at the Leipzig Conservatory and later taught at Juilliard, mentoring the likes of Yehudi Menuhin, Ruggiero Ricci, and Isaac Stern. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
