Series 1935 C silver certificate one dollar bill, signed on the portrait side in fountain pen and laminated for protection; and a TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, December 29, 1965, returning Christmas greetings. Intersecting folds to the dollar bill (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature) and aforementioned lamination, otherwise overall fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, bearing a pre-printed facsimile franking signature. A nice pairing of items, bringing to mind Truman’s famous desk sign, ‘The buck stops here!’ RR Auction COA.
