Born Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto in 1835, Pius X served as pope from 1903 until his death in 1914. Three-inch diameter circular photo by Felicia of Rome, affixed to its original 4.5 x 6.5 mount, inscribed on the mount in black ink by the Pope in Latin, signed “Pius PP. X,” and dated February 2, 1911. In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
