In part: “How very kind of you to send me the painting of the two nuns on the beach, and I shall always consider it one of my favorite presents. It touches me so much—realizing that you have parted with one of your paintings in order that I might have this reminder of my trip to India—and I am most grateful to you.” Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, which bears a pre-printed franking signature.
