Very rare original Sword in the Stone presentation medal from Disneyland. Medal measures 2.5″ in diameter, with a raised image of Merlin and Arthur attempting to pull the sword from the anvil, with the reverse bearing an image of the Dinseyland logo. Medal retains its original purple ribbon. In fine condition. These medals were presented, during a beloved Fantasy Land ceremony, to a young volunteer at the park who would help Merlin remove the sword and be proclaimed ‘Ruler of the Realm.’ These medals from this now defunct ceremony were not available for sale at any of the parks and we have never seen one offered for sale.
