Fridtjof Nansen

Norwegian explorer, scientist, diplomat, humanitarian, and Nobel laureate (1861–1930) who led the first crossing of the Greenland interior in 1888. Uncommon TLS, one page, 8 x 10.25, personal letterhead, October 18, 1927. Letter to a gentleman. In part: “I am very sorry that my time is so much engaged that it will not be possible for me to undertake the revision and reduction of the two articles you mention.” Central vertical and horizontal folds, scattered creases, staple holes to upper left, various office stamps and notations, and slightly trimmed edges, otherwise fine condition.
