Original hand-inked three-panel Popeye daily comic strip, dated May 23, 1967, on an 18 x 6 sheet of artists’ cardstock. Strip depicts Popeye searching for Blozo who has found himself deposed and in the unemployment office. Signed in the third panel by Sagendorf, and also signed and inscribed in the lower border, “Bes’ wishes to Roger from Popeye an’ Bud Sagendorf—’73.” In fine condition, with a bit of toning to last panel, some mild soiling, and a central vertical fold.
