Thomas Fitzsimons

American merchant and statesman (1741–1811) who represented Pennsylvania in the Continental Congress, the Constitutional Convention, and the US Congress. ALS signed “Thos. Fitzsimons,” one page both sides, 5 x 8, July 16, 1803. Letter to Samuel Buck. In part: “I have a letter from Mr. DeBlair of Washington requesting me to interest myself in obtaining for him the appointment as one of the Directors of yr Branch Bank…I take the liberty of requesting your attention to the subject.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds and light areas of toning from seal remnants. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
