Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 18 x 14, January 29, 1916. President Wilson appoints James C. Crane to be the postmaster of St. John, Washington. Signed at the conclusion by Wilson and countersigned by Postmaster General Albert Burleson. In fine condition, with a uniform shade of mild toning, small spot of soiling to top right, and Wilson’s signature just a shade light. The gold foil seal is crisp and intact.
