(Walt Disney Studios, 1958) Original gouache and watercolor painting for the book entitled Walt Disney’s Sleeping Beauty and the Good Fairies, published in the Little Golden Book series, showing a two-page spread featuring Aurora, Flora, Merryweather, and Fauna. The painting is wonderfully accomplished with an image size of 13 x 8.5 on a sheet of 15.5 x 12.5 illustration board, and cards with the text for both pages of the book are affixed in their designated areas. In fine condition. This extremely rare two-page spread format, done by artist Julius Svendsen, appeared on pages 16 and 17 of the published book. It is a meticulously detailed representation of Princess Aurora and her fairy friends with especially bright, vivid coloring.
