(Fleischer Studios, 1934) Original production drawing featuring Popeye and Billy Boop from Sock-a-Bye, Baby, the sixth Popeye cartoon that Fleischer released. Accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on untrimmed 11 x 8.5 animation paper. Image measures 7 x 6.25. In fine condition. Billy Boop was the younger brother of Betty Boop, and makes a cameo appearance in Sock-a-Bye, Baby, with Popeye’s own son, Swee’Pea, not being introduced to animation until two years later.
