Two TLSs, both one page, dated 1959 and 1960, both to noted American playwright and longtime editor of the New York Times drama section, Herbert Mitgang. One letter, on Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation letterhead, dated August 2, 1960, reads, in part: “This is the later Frost at his best…Wayne Temple, editor of the Lincoln Herald at Lincoln University…tells me, incidentally that he is writing a biography of Noah Brooks. Somehow I have an impression it will not be up to what you could have done or be doing about Brooks.” Intersecting folds, one through a single letter of one signature, and scattered toning to and wrinkling to other letter, otherwise fine condition.
