Official Rawlings game-used American League baseball signed in blue ballpoint on the sweet spot, “George Brett.” A notation next to the league stamp attributes the ball to one of Brett’s hits during the 1991 season with the Kansas City Royals, reading: “5-26-91, Brett hit ball—single, 2 for 4.” In fine condition, with general expected wear from game use. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from MLB umpire Durwood Merrill, in part: “I was an American League umpire for 22 seasons. During my tenure, I umpired World Series and All-Star games…I was lucky enough to obtain some relics, including over 1000 autographed baseballs…This is the actual ball hit by George Brett for a single on 5-26-91. It has been a part of my ‘famous event’ ball collection since that time.” Pre-certified Steve Grad/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
