Description

Rudyard Kipling

ALS signed “R. K.,” one page, 4 x 6, personal letterhead, October 4, 1912. Letter to R. D. Blumenfeld, who served as the editor of London’s Daily Express newspaper from 1902 to 1932, apparently responding to a request for an article. In part: “It can’t be done if the wife is well enough to think of going away next month and then literature will be ‘off.’ She’s getting better thank goodness. I do wish you’d put your deal through. It’s giving me chronic nervous frustration.” Subtle foxing and unobtrusive adhesive remnants to corners, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Kipling’s hand. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
