Fantastic original artwork, graphite and watercolor, 29.5 x 21.5, of a skull surrounded by roses and lightning bolts, signed under the image, “Stanley Mouse ©1988,” adding a quick mouse sketch under his signature. Framed to an overall size of 30.5 x 23. In fine condition, with signature a bit light, but still completely legible. Painting was originally acquired directly from Mouse in northern California in 1989. Mouse, along with Alton Kelley, worked on cover art for various bands including Journey and the Grateful Dead, and are credited with creating the skeleton and roses image that became the Grateful Dead's most recognized image.
