An unusual and detailed hand-painted model of a Mercury astronaut in his spacesuit and wearing a backpack, possibly a NASA prototype model. Model measures 4″ in height and is mounted on a 2.5 x 2 x 1 wooden stand. In fine condition, with a few scattered scuffs and dings, mainly to helmet.
