Scottish-American painter famous for his California landscapes (1838–1911). Matte-finish 7.25 x 9.5 photo of Keith emerging from dark shadows, signed and inscribed in black ink, “For Chas. D. Norton, from Wm. Keith, San Francisco, March 18/03.” Affixed to a period 7.75 x 10 mount. Scattered surface marks and various dings to edges of the mount, otherwise fine condition.
