In full: “I was deeply touched at your letter of today & at the the [sic] amount of personal sorrow which…struck you. Let us be all the better friends in our future together and let us keep our our [sic] enduring friendship & show that this at any rate will hold.” In fine condition, with Churchill’s writing understandably a bit shaky, and a central vertical fold.
