Wardwell “to be Notary Public for the District of Columbia,” with the five-year term crossed out on the document and replaced with “ending December 6, 1922.” Signed at the conclusion by Harding and countersigned by Attorney General Harry M. Daugherty. Matted and framed to an overall size of 24.25 x 21.5. In fine condition, with light central horizontal and vertical folds. The red seal is crisp and intact. Oversized.
