“You sang ‘Smoke’ so eloquently and the other members of your cast really went to town”

Lyricist and librettist (1873–1963) of fifty musical comedies who served as Oscar Hammerstein II's mentor. ALS signed “O. A. Harbach,” one page, 7.25 x 10.25, personal letterhead, April 15, 1959. Letter to singer/songwriter Lanny Ross. In part: “I’m still in a glow over what happened to me at the Dutch Treat Dinner the other night. I want to thank you again for what you did to make it such a success. You sang ‘Smoke’ so eloquently and the other members of your cast really went to town.” In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
