Peruvian-born American illustrator (1896–1982) best remembered for his colorful, sensuous renderings of pinup-style nudes. Ballpoint signature and inscription, “Best wishes to ‘John’ Alberto Vargas,” on a light brown 4 x 2.5 slip. In fine condition, with a horizontal crease along bottom of signature, and a diagonal crease through the paraph. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
