Rocketdyne J-2 Engine Ignition Exciter, serial no. 102, measuring approximately 10.5″ long and 3″ in diameter. This ignition exciter stored a high voltage electrical charge and is what gave the J-2 engine its ability to restart while in orbit as used on the Saturn V third stage for the critical trans-lunar injection burn. Part retains its Electrosolids Corporation label. Some wear to label and scattered dents, otherwise fine condition. RR Auction COA.
