Letter to an acquaintance reads, in part: “I was at Oakland Sunday and Monday. All well there. Mrs. Dr. Alexander of St. Louis with two of her children are there also. Tunstalotte is back. So I have Whippin & Tunstalotte and you can take your ease. I have never seen a copy of the Galaxy unless I bought it at the store and wish you could write to Church and say if he collects the Rise he should be certain to have the pamphlets mailed.” In fine condition, with an almost complete split to hinge and blank second integral page.
