Duke Ellington: Very early vintage sepia matte-finish 8 x 10 head-and-shoulders photo, signed and inscribed in green fountain pen, “To Mel, Best wishes, Duke Ellington.” In fine condition, with signature just a shade light, but still completely legible.
Noel Coward: Distinguished vintage matte-finish 6 x 8.25 photo, signed in the lower border in black ink. In fine condition, with slightly trimmed edges and some mounting remnants on reverse.
Geraldine Farrar: Vintage glossy 7.5 x 9.5 half-length photo of Farrar admiring her long pearl necklace, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Eduard Vesper, very sincerely, Geraldine Farrar, 1927.” In fine condition.
Tallulah Bankhead: Two vintage glossy 8 x 10 photos of Bankhead from early in her career, including one crystal-clear studio portrait, each signed in fountain pen, with Bankhead adding a brief inscription to one photo. Photos are affixed to identical size sheets or mounts. In very good condition, with scattered creases and surface marks, heavier to studio portrait, along with a tear to bottom edge, and a bit of light discoloration from adhesive on reverse.
