TLS signed “Benj Harrison,” one page, 8 x 10.5, personal letterhead, October 29, 1900. Letter declining a speaking engagement. In full: “I beg to acknowledge the invitation of the Business Men’s Republican and Sound Money Association to be present at the review of the parade of the Associated Clubs in New York City on November 3rd, and to express my regret that it will not be possible for me to be present.” Intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, pencil notation to bottom, and some mild toning, otherwise fine condition.
