Angerer of Vienna, inscribed in fountain pen, in German to famous operetta soprano Ilka von Palmay, and signed “Johann Strauss,” adding a two-bar AMQS from the song ‘Tourist I Am,’ from his operetta ‘Princess Ninetta’. In fine condition, with a bit of scattered light toning to borders. Due to the failure of his comic opera ‘Riter Pasman,’ Strauss returned to composing operettas, with ‘Princess Ninetta’ enabling him to prove that he had not lost the ability to compose exceptional waltzes and marches.
