Lyricist (1896–1981) who wrote the lyrics to the standards, ‘Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?,’ ‘April in Paris,’ and ‘It's Only a Paper Moon’ as well as all of the songs in The Wizard of Oz. ALS, one page, lightly-lined both sides, 6 x 4, September 1, 1980. Letter of thanks to an admirer. In part: “Thanks for the good words in re: my songs. You were kind to write me.” In fine condition, with a diagonal crease to left side. RR Auction COA.
