Vintage matte-finish 10 x 13 full-length portrait of Hardwicke as Julius Caesar, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Walter Alfred, with gratitude, Cedric Hardwicke, 1950, National Theatre, April 1950.” Matted to an overall size of 11 x 14. Signature and inscription quite light but legible and some edge chipping to mat, otherwise fine condition. In April 1950, Hardwicke was starring in George Bernard Shaw’s play Caesar and Cleopatra.
