Irish-American stage actor, songwriter, and singer (1858–1932) best known for penning the lyrics to ‘When Irish Eyes Are Smiling.’ He was posthumously inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970. Vintage matte-finish 11 x 14 mounted portrait of Olcott in a distinguished pose, signed and inscribed in white ink, “To the boys in Camp Lewis, God bless you all, Yours in Irish, Chauncey Olcott.” In very good to fine condition, with a tear to the lower left, creasing to upper right corner, and a few trivial edge dings.
