Collection of items from various Cecil B. DeMille films, including The Ten Commandments. The highlight of the grouping is an amazing collection of 15 unpublished 35 mm color slides from the set of The Ten Commandments. It is important to note that these are not typical PR issue slides, but are of the actual making of the film showing the limitations of the sets, lights, crew and even Mr. DeMille himself. Among the images contained are Charlton Heston preparing to cross the Red Sea, Heston delivering the 10 Commandments from Mount Sinai, Heston battling Vincent Price, an image of Edward G. Robinson in the streets, two images of John Derek, and other set shots. Also included are: a pamphlet entitled Why I Made The Ten Commandments; a Spanish picture book of The Ten Commandments; three sheets of Paramount and MGM stationery with envelopes; a set of 32 sepia prints from Joan the Woman; a set of eight lobby cards and program from King of Kings; press books from Male and Female and Something to Sing About; a Union Pacific token; and three unsigned photos. Slides rate fine condition and still retain their vibrant color. Remainder of the group rates very good to fine overall. A spectacular look into the making of the cinematic classic. RR Auction COA.
