A set of production-made chattering teeth made for the 1997 film Quicksilver Highway. The oversized teeth and adjoined feet, clad in purple and yellow sneakers, are made of metal and resin and sit on a 6 x 8 wooden base, with a plaque which reads, “’Quicksilver Highway’ Steve Johnson’s XFX Inc.—1997.” This set was made during production and later displayed at Steve Johnson's XFX office. In fine condition, with feet a little bit loose from base as well as a bit of scattered paint loss. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Elemental Auctions stating the item “came directly from the Steve Johnson XFX archives.” Also included is a videotape of the film. The book upon which a portion of the film is based is actually titled ‘Chattery Teeth’ and involves a man who picks up a hitchhiker. The chattering teeth themselves play a major heroic role in the story. RR Auction COA.
