Brauer, Jr. In part: “I am neither an Erudite Man nor an American; nor can I, at 90, travel as far as Ohio and lecture there. Clearly I am not eligible, I am none the less honored.” Shaw also added the recipient’s name in his own hand on the reverse address panel, with the rest of the address typed on an affixed slip.
