A limited edition presentation containing a 1.5″ long segment of film from Liberty Bell 7’s pilot observation camera, recovered from the Atlantic Ocean on July 20, 1999, from a depth of 16,043 feet. Strip is housed in a triangular acrylic, #128/1000, with an image of the space craft, and Gus Grissom, and two explanatory plaques on the reverse, stating that the film contained the only images of Grissom during his flight and the harrowing moments after splashdown, and was issued in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of Grissom’s flight by the Kansas Cosmosphere. In fine condition. Accompanied by its original box and certificate of authenticity from the Kansas Cosmosphere.
