An informational tag is tied to one end, with images of both fighters, and reads, in part, “This is a piece of the Crown Mills Brand Rope with the Hoffman Gold Medal Braided Cotton Sash…used to enclose the Dempsey Tunney Ring at the World Championship Contest, Sesquicentennial Stadium, September 23, 1926.” In fine condition.
