Original first-generation glossy 10 x 8 photo of Jackie wearing a gorgeous strapless gown and a three-strand pearl necklace, leaning over to light the candles as the final touch before a dinner party. Reverse of photo bears a Three Lions Inc. stamp. A small tear to a blank area of the lower left border (not affecting the image), otherwise fine condition. In retelling the moment that he snapped this picture, Suero told Camelot at Dawn author Anne Garside, ‘When she started to light the candles I said to myself, ‘Oh, my God!’ It was one of those moments when a photographer can see that he has a marvelous shot...She was falling-down beautiful—gorgeous.’ The photo went on to become one of the most iconic images of the first lady, reproduced countless times upon her death to leave a lasting memory of her unique beauty.
