Typed script for Daily Variety Annual, 34 onionskin pages marked ‘Copy’ in the left border, 8.5 x 11, pencil notation indicating a date of June 29, 1970, signed at the top in blue ballpoint, “George Cukor.” An interesting and lengthy dialogue between Cukor and Joan Crawford, in which they discuss film and gender roles. In part: “Miss Crawford: What is the underlying purpose of movies?…To reflect life as it is, or to take the audiences out of themselves and assist them toward fulfillment of the universal human urge to better one’s position in life? Mr. Cukor: I think both, Joan. Miss Crawford: I think everything is in that question. It should reflect life as we talked about.” In fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
