Inscribed to Nixon’s Air Force One pilot

Three glossy photos of Olivi in the Air Force, 8 x 10 and 10 x 8, each lengthily signed and inscribed in black felt tip to “Colonel [Ralph] Albertazzie.” One inscription, in part: “To Colonel Albertazzie, The best to you always! Would enjoy hearing about some of your flights with the presidents!,” describing the image in the third-person at the bottom, “Lt. Olivi in front of B-29 ‘Enola Gay’ that dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima—6 August 1945.” In overall fine condition. Albertazzie was the pilot of Air Force One during the Nixon administration, who most notably flew the president on a historic trip to China. RR Auction COA.
