Prolific Italian composer in all forms, best known for his operas (1797–1848). Unsigned autograph musical manuscript, one page both sides, 12.25 x 4.75, no date. Donizetti pens 56 bars of music from his opera Il Castello di Kenilworth, identified at the top in an unknown hand. In very good condition, with a heavy central vertical fold, scattered ink marks and soiling, and trimmed bottom edge. This opera was first performed on July 6, 1829, at the Teatro San Carlo, Naples.
