Giuseppe Garibaldi

Italian patriot and soldier (1807–1882) best known for leading the attack of the ‘Red Shirts’ on Sicily in 1860. Original 2.5 x 4 carte-de-visite full-length portrait of Garibaldi using a cane, signed and inscribed in the lower border in black ink, “Alla sign’a Maria Gaspari, G. Garibaldio.” Published by Cesare Bernieri of Torino. Central horizontal crease, otherwise fine condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
