Baby Dodds

Jazz drummer (1898–1959) who was among the first drummers who improvised while performing to be recorded. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo of Dodds posing with two other musicians, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “From Dodds ‘Baby’ Drums, To Eddie 9750 Club,” “Much success from Leo Montgomery ‘Piano’ 9750 Club,” and “Natty Dominique, trumpet, to Eddie 9750 Club.” In fine condition, with trimmed horizontal edges and a few scattered creases.
