American actor (1899–1962) best known for his roles in westerns opposite the likes of Harry Carey, Hoot Gibson, and John Wayne. Vintage matte-finish photo of Williams in polo togs and on horseback, slightly trimmed in size to 7.75 x 9.75, signed and inscribed in ink, “To Gil with my best wishes, ‘Big Boy.’” According to the consignor, the inscribee was Gil Proctor, a polo expert at the Riviera Country Club, and the photo was obtained from his estate. Accompanied by a similar photo signed and inscribed by prominent entertainment lawyer Neil S. McCarthy. Trimming as noted, otherwise fine, clean condition. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
