Favourite of King Louis XIII who led the last and nearly successful conspiracy to overthrow Cardinal Richelieu (1620–1642). ADS on two sides of an off-white 10.5 x 8.25 sheet of vellum, an autograph receipt written on one side, and signed on verso. In very good condition, with two vertical folds passing through the signature, toned adhesive remnants along right border, and signature a shade or two light.
