Description

Hohner Marine Band harmonica, played and signed by the folk-rock master

Personally-played Hohner Marine Band harmonica in the key of E, signed across the top in black felt tip by Dylan. In very fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Hohner, certifying that Dylan has both played and signed the harmonica. Although Dylan began playing the harmonica in high school, it wasn’t until the fall of 1960 that his ‘chugging’ style began to develop. By the time of his arrival in New York City in January 1961, he was an adept player, and the sound of the harmonica characterizes many of his earlier works. A remarkable collectible from Dylan, who is doubtlessly the most sought after living legend. Pre-certified Roger Epperson/REAL and RR Auction COA.
