Revolutionary War–dated manuscript DS, signed “O. Ellsworth,” one page, 7.5 x 6.25, June 15, 1778. Pay order reads, in part: “Pay Capt. John Chenevard Two hundred fifteen pounds…balance of his Acct. as one of the Comte of Pay Table.” Signed at the bottom by Ellsworth and one other committee member. Matted and framed with an engraved portrait to an overall size of 14.75 x 24.75. In fine condition, with some scattered light toning and some show-through from docketing on reverse. Oversized.
