Huntington,” one page, lightly-lined, 8 x 10.25, January 14, 1881. Letter to M. E. Ingalls. In part: “I have just received a letter from Maj. Byrne, who writes me that he thinks the Pennsylvania interest controls the Kentucky Central. I think it would be unfortunate for your and my interest if that should be so; and I cannot believe that it is; and I do not see how it could be so.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature.
