Gabriel’s screen-worn shirt from the 1969 film The Undefeated starring John Wayne and Rock Hudson. Blue cotton Civil War long-sleeve cavalry shirt has a two-button front and a Western Costume Co. label sewn along the inside bottom, with Gabriel’s name typed on the second line, and size information typed on the others. Shirt also bears a Western Costume Co. stamp along bottom. An area of shading is visible on the left and right sleeves where the Cavalry insignias once were, but are no longer with the shirt. Gabriel, who is mostly known as a football great, played Wayne's son ‘Blue Boy’ in the movie and wears this shirt during the opening battle scenes, when they visit the confederate troops, and during the credits. Accompanied by a photocopy of a 20th Century Fox publicity photo of Gabriel in the shirt. In fine condition. RR Auction COA.
