AQS on an off-white 7 x 4.25 sheet, signed in black ink, “Henry W. Longfellow, Nov. 16, 1879.” Longfellow pens a the final stanza of ‘A Psalm of Life.’ In full: “Let us then be up and doing, / With a heart for any fate; / Still achieving, still pursuing, / Learn to labor and to wait.” In very fine condition. The poem first appeared in the October 1838 issue of The Knickerbocker Magazine. RR Auction COA.
